Ideas For Your Lunchbox





Healthy lunch boxes are all about playing around with ingredients and ideas. Never feel as though you are stuck with the same old lunch box contents, get experimenting and get those creative juices flowing!

Why not make yourself a weekly menu planner and pop it on the fridge...

MONDAY

  • Egg mayonnaise, cress and lettuce sandwich on wholemeal/granary bread
  • A small handful of cherry tomatoes
  • 1 small banana
  • Small pot of fromage frais
  • 1 carton of fruit smoothie (no added sugar)
  • Water

    TUESDAY

  • Bagel with cream cheese, cucumber and a slice of ham
  • A small handful of carrot sticks
  • 1 small apple
  • A fruit yoghurt (no added sugar or nasties)
  • 1 small carton of milk
  • Water

    WEDNESDAY

  • Pasta salad with chopped turkey
  • A small handful of celery sticks
  • A few crackers and cheese portion
  • Some peeled orange segments
  • 1 yoghurt drink (no added sugar or nasties)
  • Water

    THURSDAY

  • A mini or half wholemeal pita with tuna mayonnaise, sweet corn and lettuce
  • A small handful of sugar snap peas
  • Some fresh pineapple chunks
  • A homemade fruit or veg juice
  • Water

    FRIDAY

  • Brown rice with mashed mackerel and avocado, topped with spinach leaves and grated cheddar
  • A small handful of seedless grapes
  • A few mini oatcakes and cheese
  • Some fresh melon chunks
  • Water
