Peach Smoothie Recipe





Yum! Here is your peach smoothie on its way...

PREPARATION- Takes 10 minutes. 3 fresh peaches, halved and pitted. 2 small bananas, peeled and sliced. 100ml (3.5fl oz) apple juice (not from concentrate).

SERVE IMMEDIATELY- Put prepared fruit and apple juice into a processor/blender and mix until smooth. Pour into some small glasses and serve with ice. Makes 2-3 servings.

You can either juice your own apples for this recipe or buy a 'pressed' juice from the supermarket.

Peaches contain a whole host of phyto (plant) nutrients. These act as both nurturer and protector.

These deliciously juicy friends contain beta carotene, folic acid, vitamin C and vitamin B3. They make a scrumptious companion to any juice you are thinking of making.

When you are buying your peaches look for ones that are neither too soft nor too hard. Look for fairly firm that give slightly. But don't go squeezing too tightly otherwise you will be thrown out of the shop!! Be sure to look out for dark bruises as these can penetrate the peach deeply and so ruin most of the fruit.
