Porridge Recipes For Toddlers




APPLE PORRIDGE

Oats provide a nutritional and filling breakfast for your toddler.

PREPARATION- Takes 10-15 minutes

  • 2 tbsp oats
  • 1/2 apple-washed and diced
  • 1/4 pint of semi skimmed milk
  • pinch of ground nutmeg

    Put the oats, diced apple and milk into a saucepan. Cook on a medium heat and then bring to the boil, stirring continuously.

    Reduce the heat and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture is thick and soft.

    Sprinkle with some ground nutmeg and serve.

    This recipe makes 2-4 servings and can also be made using a microwave.



    BANANA PORRIDGE

    PREPARATION- Takes 10-15 minutes

  • 2 tbsp oats
  • 1 small banana
  • 1/4 pint semi skimmed milk/goats milk
  • pinch of vanilla bean powder

    Firstly, mash the banana in a bowl. Next put the oats and milk in a saucepan, cook on a medium heat and then bring to the boil, stirring continuously.

    Reduce the heat and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes. In the last minute add the banana and vanilla bean powder and stir in.

    Allow to cool and serve.

    This recipe makes 2-4 servings and can also be made using a microwave.
