Shaped Sandwiches

Shaped sandwiches are really fun!

For this recipe, invest in some cute biscuit cutters such as hearts or animals. Your toddler will love this!. If not, you can always use a good old fashioned sharp knife (and a bit of creativity!).

PREPARATION- Takes 10 minutes.

  • 1 tsp of spread (butter, sunflower spread). This is optional.

  • 2 slices wholemeal bread

  • 1 tbsp smooth peanut butter

  • 1/2 mashed banana.

Spread the mashed banana on one slice and the peanut butter on the other. Put the slices together, cut off the crusts if you desire, and use one of your biscuit cutters to make the sandwiches. Serve with some cucumber and/or carrot sticks. Best to serve immediately, but will keep in fridge for a couple of hours.

This recipe is easy to change. Why not try these other yummy combinations...

  • Grated Cheddar Cheese And Cucumber.
  • Mayonnaise (try and use a low fat mayonnaise).
  • Grated Cheddar Cheese, Ham And Cucumber.
  • Organic Turkey And Tomato.
