This banana ice-cream is so quick and easy to make and is a much healthier alternative to the manufactured versions.
PREPARATION-Takes 15 minutes.2 frozen bananas400ml natural bio yoghurt/soya yoghurtpinch of vanilla bean powder (optional)
To prepare for this recipe you will need to freeze your yellow friends the day before. Peel them, cut them in half and pop them into a sealed freezer bag and put them into the freezer.
When you are ready, allow them to thaw for five minutes and then pop them into your food processor/blender. Pour the bio yoghurt and the pinch of vanilla bean powder (available from supermarkets and specialist shops) over the top and blend until smooth.
You will notice the odd lump here and there, but that's part of the eating experience for your toddler.
Serve immediately or transfer into a container and freeze for another time. This recipe will keep for up to one month in the freezer.
Not only does this provide a healthy dessert but also makes a great cooling snack in the summer months.
