Tuna Pasta Bake

Mmmm...tuna pasta bake!

PREPARATION- Takes 45 minutes.

  • 3oz/85 grams of penne pasta
  • A medium tin of tuna fish (dolphin friendly)
  • 2oz of frozen peas
  • 1 medium egg
  • 5floz semi skimmed milk
  • 4 tbsp grated cheddar cheese

    Firstly preheat the oven to 190° C/375° F. Next, boil the pasta in some slightly salted water as instructed on the packet. Prepare a small greased (butter) oven proof dish and stir the peas (still frozen) and fish into the cooked pasta.

    Beat the eggs and milk together in a bowl, add half the cheese and pour mixture over pasta. Sprinkle the remainder of the cheese on top and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. You can also sprinkle some wholemeal bread crumbs on with the cheese if you like.

    Serve with some steamed carrot sticks or any vegetable that your toddler is keen on.

    This recipe will give you 2-4 servings depending on serving size. It will keep well in the fridge for up to two days.
